After the other video clips were viral in protest against the government, Siddaramaiah held a half-hour meeting with 8 MLAs of the party. Two ministers of the Karnataka Government were also present in this meeting held in the shrine. This meeting of Siddaramaiah has become a matter of embarrassment for the top leadership of the Congress. Senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge, who came from Karnataka, has also admitted that he has seen the viral video.
Although he denied that the party could take any disciplinary action on it. He said that he will soon meet Siddaramaiah and will try to know the context in which he has commented. Most of the leaders who met Siddaramaiah were ‘Ahinda’. It is being estimated that Siddaramaiah has been trying to strengthen himself in showing the biggest leader of this community.
