Twenty days after being tagged by Indian skipper Virat Kohli in a fitness challenge video, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday posted one of him exercising at his official residence.
The Prime Minister, who is seen doing a bunch of exercises in the almost-two-minute-long video, also took the opportunity to pass on the challenge to the newly-appointed Karnataka CM H D Kumaraswamy, Commonwealth medalist Manika Batra and 40-plus Indian Police Service (IPS) officers.
Kumaraswamy, who already seems to be battling a wobbly coalition with the Congress, had his own perspective to lend to the offer that came from Delhi.
Almost 2 hours after Modi’s tweet inviting HDK to take the challenge, the CM replied, with a not-so-politically subtle tweet whose message was not lost on all. While he thanked the PM for showing “concern about my health”, HDK didn’t let go of the opportunity to invoke the Centre’s cooperation for improving the state’s fitness, and sought the PM’s support.
Kumaraswamy’s tweet comes barely a month after the BJP’s attempts to form a government in fractured Karnataka were scuttled after he stitched a last-minute alliance with the Congress to form government.
